The North Olympic Peninsula Resource Conservation & Development Council (NOP RC&D) is an organization that works to improve the environment, economy, and quality of life on the North Olympic Peninsula.
We provide many services to the community such as:
- Foster partnerships that result in on-the-ground projects to address community needs.
- Assist organizations through grant administration, facilitation, technical guidance, and planning.
- Develop regional goals and action plans through our annual and area planning process. This is done through public participation to identify high priority community and natural resource needs.
The NOP RC&D covers 2.37 million acres in the northwestern most part of the Continental United States. The NOP RC&D area encompasses the two counties of Clallam and Jefferson and the Native American Tribes of the Hoh, Quileute, Makah, Lower Elwha Klallam, and Jamestown S’Klallam.
The volunteer Council consists of representatives from local jurisdictions within the area and members-at-large interested in serving their local communities. The Council is a nonprofit IRS 501c3 organization.
